Welcome to TnElk.com. This site is dedicated to the freedom, opportunity and privledge that we have to observe our magnificent East Tennessee Wildlife.
Among the vast public lands of East Tennessee is Hatfield Knob. Hatfield Knob became the site for the now famous Elk Viewing Tower. It is located on the Sundquist Wildlife Management Area in Campbell County, Tennessee. This area is a refuge for not only the Elk, but a wide variety of wildlife. You might see wild turkey, fox, deer or an occasional bear. One thing is for certain though, you are pretty much guaranteed to see wild Tennessee Elk.
20 years ago, Elk were reintroduced into our 600,000 acre habitat area. The herd has since multiplied and is now thriving. These awesome creatures have been and continue to be a vital component of this ecosystem and a huge attraction that brings people from all over into our great outdoors to observe them.
We are on a mission to expand upon private efforts combined with public land that continues to provide a wildlife observation opportunity for our great citizens.
